I started in 2014 on april 20, I worked for Wedgwood Health and Rehab in Lakeland, FL as a housekeeper for 2 1/2 years. I recieved employee of the month in July of 2015 (something no one has ever accomplished in that bulding for housekeeping).

I was tranfered to the Winter Haven building in August of 2016 to the dietary department. I worked there for 2 1/2 more years. With that being said, in between the transfer something went wrong unbeknowst to me a year has passed. When i caught the error back in 2017 my complaint about my pay rate was basically ignored.

Now here we are in 2018 and the problem has not been looked into or asked about, so middle of the year 2018 the supervisor was let go and the next day the replacement came. I immediately metioned the problem to the new supervisor about the error in my pay rate and no questioned asked again it was ignored once again. I have'nt been getting my raises properly and my starting pay rate in 2014 was $8.05 and end pay rate of $8.83 for 4 1/2 I have not made $1.00 above my starting pay rate. December 3, 2018 I stopped a corporate manager and brought the error to his attention.

I was told to text him my info which I did so, he promised he'll get back with me but so far I have been the one calling him and calling him about the process in which he did say that there was a lot of errors in my raises and pay rate and that this company owes me a lot of money back.

I have bills due now and because of this error I could not provide any presents for my children. I am very disgusted in the way some of the corporate managers I've ran across that is suppose to represent your company treats the employees that worked very hard many years.

Location: Winter Haven, Florida

File a claim with the department of labor for your wages. This company is notorious for not paying people correctly. In fact upper management actually encourages account managers to violate union contracts ect

It's no better to be on the management side. I owned and operated a small manufacturing business for several decades.

Demands begin to flow into your office like the mighty Mississippi or Noah's Flood. Some reasonable, some not. Good employees, horrible employees. As many government agencies to pay every 2 weeks as I had employees on the payroll.

City tax, County tax, State tax, State Unemployment tax, Workers' comp tax, Social Security tax (double , 1/2 pd by worker , 1/2 by ME) Federal Tax, Federal unemployment tax, and if the company managed to have a dime left over, the all returned for a cut of the "profit". You think it's bad to work somewhere ? Try running the show single handedly. It damaged my health and attitudes beyond repair.

I forgot my mission and just tried to stay out of jail. Really rewarding career.
